The door of Raj Bhavan opened! Governor called Vijay, meet soon

The path has been cleared for TVK chief Vijay to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. After the support of VCK and IUML, Vijay has reached the support of 120 MLAs. With this, the political crisis of government formation that has been going on for four days seems to be ending.

The path for actor-turned-politician Vijay to become the chief minister and form the government in Tamil Nadu is now completely clear. On Saturday, VCK and IUML announced their unconditional support to his party TVK. Both the parties have 2-2 MLAs, and after their support, Vijay has the total support of 120 MLAs.

Now with the new support, the political confusion that has been going on in Tamil Nadu for the last four days seems to be ending. TVK sought an appointment with the governor on Saturday evening to stake claim for government formation and hand over the letter of support signed by the MLAs.

In the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay’s two-year-old party TVK created a major political upset and left behind the big parties of Dravidian politics like DMK and AIADMK. TVK succeeded in emerging as the largest party by winning 108 seats. However, Vijay will have to give up one of the two seats he won, after which the actual strength of the party will be reduced to 107.

Congress, which contested the elections with the DMK alliance, had won 5 seats. After the results, Congress decided to support Vijay by separating from DMK and became the first party to support TVK. After this, the left parties, along with their 4 MLAs, also announced their support for TVK.
