There was a stampede of people during Baba’s Satsang in Hathras. 122 people died in this stampede and more than 150 people are said to be injured. Many of the injured are in critical condition. In such a situation the number of deaths may increase. According to Etah CMO Umesh Tripathi, till now 27 bodies have come for post-mortem. These include 25 women and 2 men. Many injured have also been admitted. Further information will be revealed after investigation. The primary reason is a stampede during a religious event. The incident took place in Phulwariya of Sikandrarau police station.
Here, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, taking cognizance of the accident in Hathras district, has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief work. Two ministers of UP government from Lucknow, Lakshmi Narayan and Minister Sandeep Singh Hathras are going to the spot. UP Chief Secretary Manoj Singh and DGP Prashant Kumar have left for Hathras.
Order given to investigate the accident in Hathras district

There were no security arrangements
The negligence of the administration has come to light for the accident. There were no proper security arrangements. More devotees had gathered than the capacity. According to eyewitnesses, after the satsang ended, a stampede broke out in a hurry to get out. Within no time the situation worsened and people got buried under each other. Many people lost their lives in the stampede and many lost their family members. This accident shows the negligence of the government
No relief work was started at the incident site for a long time. The relatives of the deceased said, ‘This horrific accident has happened due to the negligence of the police administration. There was a traffic jam since night. As soon as the police opened the jam, a stampede broke out.
A committee has been formed to investigate the Hathras accident. The committee will investigate under the leadership of ADG Agra Zone. Aligarh Commissioner will also investigate.
